In 2022, Channel Holding acquired a group of mobile software companies that were previously part of the US-listed telecommunications group, Pareteum, Inc. Pareteum was formed from a merger between Artilium and Elephant Talk, pioneers in providing MVNE services to MVNOs worldwide.
As part of this transaction, iPass, Inc., a US company formerly a market leader in secure and peer-to-peer internet connectivity, was included. After merging with Devicescape, iPass became the owner of a renowned global patent for automatically switching between radio signals (4G/5G) and Wi-Fi. Channel decided to develop an iOS and Android app to integrate this switching technology into the ChannelX platform, making it available to all smartphone users, MNOs, MVNEs, and MVNOs.
