iPass Users Enjoy Ubiquitous Wireless Connectivity in Denmark Thanks to TDC Partnership

Added over 600 hotspots to the iPass network; Surpasses 12,000 Wi-Fi hours across popular locations including ferries, hotels and restaurants; unique combination of global Wi-Fi and local 3G service

LONDON, UK. — 4th August, 2009 — iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS) a global provider of services that unify the management of enterprise mobility, today announced that it has partnered with TDC Denmark, the leading provider of communications solutions in Denmark, adding over 600 Wi-Fi hotspots to its Global Broadband Roaming footprint. These hotspots have already registered over 12,000 Wi-Fi hours since coming online in 2008 and are spread throughout popular venues frequented by business travelers such as hotels, restaurants, service stations and ferry terminals and ships. The iPass network is present in over 175 countries around the world and includes over 120,000 wired and wireless access points as well as 3G Mobile Broadband in eight countries.

The TDC hotspots that have been made available within the iPass network to iPass' global base of enterprise customers are located in a large range of well-known Danish brands including Comfort, Comwell, Quality and Clarion hotels, Monarch and Tulip restaurants, Statoil motorway service stations and Baresso coffee shops. Other locations include airports in Karup, Bornholms and Soenderborg, the DSB train, ferries as well as many golf clubs.

Denmark has consistently ranked as one of the world's top 20 countries for use of hotspots. The most popular venues on the TDC network include the DSB train service between Copenhagen and Aarhus with more than three times more connections than the second most popular Wi-Fi location. For hotels, the Comwell Soenderborg ranked highest, closely followed by the Quality Airport Hotel Dan in Kastrup and the Clarion Hotel Copenhagen. Noteworthy is wireless hotspot access seen on board of Danish ferries, with three ferries ranking amongst the top 10 locations.

Before being integrated into the iPass Global Roaming network, the TDC hotspots completed rigorous iPass Enterprise Ready certification, which includes testing the hotspots against availability and interoperability with policy and security tools, including a comprehensive range of virtual private networks, personal firewalls and anti-virus software required by business travelers.

"We are committed to expanding our network to offer our customers even more choice for connectivity, wherever they travel for business. We see that Denmark has become a valued destination for many of our users and it is clear from the figures that customers are traveling all around the country making particular use of access via hotel hotspots during their business visits," commented René Hendrikse, Vice President EMEA, iPass.

"Not only do the additional TDC hotspots strengthen our Scandinavian footprint, in combination with our other access choices such as 3G Mobile Broadband, we are able to provide unrivaled mobility options to our enterprise and business users."
